WPC host a variety of workshops and events throughout the year. From Screen Acting classes and Musical Theatre workshops, to art exhibitions, Zumba training and more.

ACTING CLASSES

We are now holding Adult Acting Classes. If you would like to register for next term please send an email to infowpc@whitireia.ac.nz and leave your contact details. 

Term 2 Acting classes will begin on Tuesday 23 April. We have both Beginners (6:00pm-7:30pm) and Intermediate/Advanced classes (7:30pm-9:00pm) available. Please come to reception to enrol.
Cost: $200 for the ten-week term

Beginners Acting class for stage and screen. No experience necessary
A strong focus on having fun and building confidence in a group and while performing.
Getting to know your own voice and body as your Actor's tool.
Improvising tools.
Introducing script analysis and different acting methodologies.
Techniques for stage and screen auditions.

Advanced Acting Class for stage and screen. Preferably completed the beginners or intermediate class.
Advancing on playing in and against type.
Taking on more challenging scripts and characters.
Developing further ones personal strengths and weaknesses in stage and screen.
Expanding ones physical and vocal ability
Completing a short film or play. 

FOR KIDS & TEENS - Dance, singing and drama 

Wellington Performing Arts Studios offers ballet, jazz, preschool, hip hop, singing and drama classes for ages 2-16.

Gain confidence, learn to perform, have fun!  Weekday and Saturday timetable.
